Professional tennis returns to Bethany Beach with the 10th Annual Vacasa Pro Women’s Open. This pro tournament will take place Monday, May 15 through Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the Sea Colony Tennis Center. The event is a USTA Pro Circuit Event and will offer $25,000 in prize money.

Sponsored by Vacasa, the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Rick Rogers and UBS Financial, and the Sea Colony community, this singles and doubles tournament draws nationally and internationally-ranked women tennis players seeking higher world rankings. A qualifying draw of 32 individuals will compete for entry into the 32 person singles draw.  Qualifying will be held May 15 – 16 with the main draw set to start on May 16.  Doubles will also begin play on Tuesday, May 16. The tournament concludes with the doubles finals on Saturday, May 20 and the singles finals on Sunday, May 21. The tournament is free for spectators to attend.

Past participants in the Vacasa Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony include numerous individuals who have cracked the top 100 in the Women’s Tennis Association World Rankings. Their highest world rankings in singles are: Jessica Pegula, currently #3 in the world, Danielle Collins, #7 and finalist in the 2022 Australian Open, Lindsay Lee-Waters #33, Alycia Parks #49, and Grace Min #97.
