Bethany Beach

Bethany’s beautiful family-friendly beach is perfect for enjoying a day in the sun, relaxing, and listening to the sound of crashing waves.

Lifeguards:

Lifeguards patrol the beaches full-time from Memorial Day until Labor Day and weekends throughout September.

Beach Wheelchairs:

From May 15th to September 15th, beach wheelchairs can be requested for no cost at the Bethany Beach Lifesaving Station near the bandstand.

Handicap Access:

Handicap crossovers can be found at Wellington Parkway and Ocean View Parkway.

Pets:

From October – April, dogs are allowed on the beach and boardwalk. During May – September, dogs are prohibited on the beach and boardwalk but are allowed in the town.

Parking:

From October – April, parking is FREE in town. From May 15th to September 15th parking in town is paid and permitted.

Public Restrooms:

The town of Bethany Beach operates public restrooms and a baby changing station seven days a week, year-round. The public restrooms can be located near the Bethany Beach Lifeguard Station.

Fishing and Surfing:

Fishing and surfing are permitted when lifeguards are off-duty.

Smoking, Bonfires, Alcohol
