Selbyville’s 61st Annual Old Timer’s Day

Saturday, June 16th, marks 61 years for Old Timer’s Day Classic Car & Truck Show in Selbyville. Hosted by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Selbyville, and presented by Bunting & Murray Construction Corporation, the event falls annually on Father’s Day weekend and features classic cars, trucks, tractors, and emergency vehicles from 1988 and older. A family-friendly affair, the event also features food, crafts, children’s activities, and live music from The Glass Onion band.

“For 61 years, families, locals, visitors, and car enthusiasts alike have spent the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend in downtown Selbyville, and we love having the opportunity to highlight the town,” says Chamber executive director Lauren Weaver. “Guests find that our inland towns are charming and family-friendly. And the classic cars and trucks can transport you back to a blast from the past.”

Vehicle entry into the car show is $10, and the first 100 registrants receive a commemorative event dash plaque. Judges asses the interior, exterior, and engine compartment of each vehicle, with prizes awarded for people’s choice, best overall car and truck, best of tractors, and best of emergency vehicles. A minimum of five vehicles must be registered in a given category for judging to take place.
