Make Your Own Turks-Head Knot Bracelet at Delaware Seashore State Park

Dewey Beach, DE- On Tuesday August 9, staff at Delaware Seashore State Park will lead participants in making their very own historic Turks-Head Knot bracelets. Also known as “sailors’ bracelets” or “surfers’ bracelets,” these pieces of woven rope have been made and worn by mariners throughout the ages. This program is suitable for ages 12 and up and all materials and instructions will be provided.
The Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum is 3.5 miles south of Dewey Beach and 2 miles north of the Indian River Inlet in Delaware Seashore State Park on Route 1. The program fee is $10 per person. Space and materials are limited so pre-registration is required.
