Leaders Duel to Make a Difference

Local Leaders battle for a cause: Clothing Our Kids and Surfers Healing

Fenwick Island, DE, August 1, 2017–A summer leadership challenge has been accepted by Transformative Dynamics’ program leaders that benefit charities of their choice. Area professional Leaders participating in Audacity 2.0 threw
down the gauntlet and challenged leaders from the Leadership Impact program. Team Audacity 2.0 chose to battle for Clothing Our Kids, a nonprofit organization benefitting kids and families in need, located in Sussex County, DE. Leaders from Leadership Impact chose Surfers Healing, a nonprofit organization benefitting kids and families with autism – two amazing organizations that help transform our kids. The challenge is simple, the team that raises the most funds by Friday, August 19th at 6:00pm wins. Perspective leadership teams must bring the required strategic prowess, creativity, ingenuity and resourcefulness to achieve a successful outcome.

“I love this leadership challenge says Eunice Carpitella, Founder Transformative Dynamics. It offers
leaders, from a variety of companies throughout Sussex County, the opportunity to come together
and to experiment with ways of fully integrating effective leadership in every domain of their life (self,
work, home and community) while making an extraordinary difference for kids and families in need.”

Team Audacity 2.0 is battling for CLOTHING OUR KIDS

“The mission of Clothing Our Kids is to improve the lives of at risk elementary school children by providing them with appropriate school clothing. In Sussex County many children do not have essential school clothing which has a direct negative impact on their self-esteem, their school attendance, their ability to learn, and can lead to bullying. It is our goal to assist these youngsters with an equal start in their early education and help them become successful students.”
Raffle tickets are $5 each and each ticket provides you with the chance to win a beach cruiser bike. This bike has been generously donated in part by Bethany Bike Shop and the participants of Audacity 2.0.

All proceeds from this raffle (excluding the PayPal processing fees) will be given to Clothing our Kids. Your Summer Raffle ticket number will appear as your Transaction ID number on your PayPal receipt. Team Leadership Impact is battling for SURFERS HEALING
“Surfers Healing’s, mission is to enrich the lives of people living with autism by exposing them to the unique experience of surfing. Even though Surfers Healing had 4,500+ participants at their surf camps last year – and even though autism now affects 1 in 68 US children – it doesn’t think in thousands. Surfers Healing thinks in ones, because that’s where we can effect change. One child. One family. One day at the beach.

Join us as we keep making a difference, one ride at a time. Here are two ways to contribute:

  1. Attend a Dine and Donate at Papa Grandes Fenwick Island, Tuesday, August 8, 2017. A silent auction in the Tequila Tasting room from 6:00pm to 8:00pm will be held. Proceeds from the silent auction as well as a straight percentage of that’s days revenue will go to Surfers Healing Ocean City (SHOCA).
  2. Attend an evening of Glow in the Dark Golf at Bayside Golf and Resort, Selbyville, DE on Tuesday, August 15,
2017 at 8:30pm. The driving range is converted to a short course for this special evening. The cost is $40 per
person and includes golf balls. Adult beverages will be available.

The competing teams, Leadership Impact and Audacity 2.0, are comprised of area professionals who participate in
leadership programs offered by Transformative Dynamics. This year’s individual leaders represent the following
companies: Bad Hair Day?, Beebe Healthcare, Carl M. Freeman Companies, Fairfax Mortgage Investments, Joshua M. & Carl M. Freeman Foundations, Miken Builders, NVR, Inc., Raymond F. Book & Associates, SODEL Concepts, Troon Golf, and United States Department of Agriculture.
We applaud and appreciate your support in championing the fundraising and leadership efforts of these teams as they volunteer their efforts and resources in giving back to the community. And most importantly, thank YOU for investing in the real champions, our kids…our future leaders.
