LEWES, DE – As part of its ongoing effort to support the community, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gallo Realty has formed the Gallo Gives Foundation. The foundation will support a variety of local 501c3 charities.  The foundation is managed by the Greater Lewes Foundation.

The foundation will be funded primarily through the company’s agents, management, and staff. Agents are encouraged to donate a percentage of their commissions earned. The company will match all agent/staff contributions 100 percent.  In addition, Gallo Realty will produce certain events that will benefit the foundation. Public donations will be accepted as well.

Each company office, in Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, and Bethany Beach, will have representatives on the foundation’s giving committee. The representatives will research community charities in need and recommend funding.

“We anticipate a lot of good things to come from the Gallo Gives Foundation,” said Andrew Ratner, company vice-president. “We established a program whereas our agents and staff can voluntarily participate and support the foundation and can be truly involved in the decision-making process through their office representative.”

“We look forward to making a difference in the lives of our neighbors,” Ratner added.
