Fire & Ice Festival Kicks off on January 27th, 2023
Now in its sixth year, the award-winning Fire and Ice Festival is set to begin on Friday, January 27th with a “Lights, Camera, Action!” theme. Come to downtown Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Millville, Fenwick Island, and Dagsboro to experience the Quiet Resorts like never before! Festival goers can trade their beach cruisers for ice skates at the family-friendly weekend full of winter festivities. This includes multiple “Walk of Fame” ice sculpture tours, live sculpture demonstrations, ice skating rink, winter maze, drink tastings, beer garden, music, movies, bonfires, and — of course — a seasonal stop at your favorite shops, restaurants, and businesses.
This event is presented by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, Bethany Beach Ocean Suites, Hotel Bethany Beach, Delaware Office of Tourism, Bethany Beach Books, the Town of Bethany Beach, the Town of Ocean View, Millville Boardwalk, Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery, and 67 local businesses.
The festival’s theme, “Lights, Camera, Action!” will feature movie themed sculptures along with music, activities, and more.
“We are excited to be bringing the Fire & Ice Festival to the Quiet Resorts for its sixth year”, says Lauren Weaver, executive director of the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce. “The support of local businesses will make this year’s event even bigger. The sculpture tour is comprised entirely of pieces sponsored by Chamber businesses, many of whom are working together to make the overall experience fun and memorable for all festival-goers.”
