Delaware Seashore State Park offers special, pre-season “LOCALS WEEK” Programs
May 23-27, 2016
Rehoboth Beach, DE- The busy summer season is just around the corner and Delaware Seashore State Park is gearing up for another exciting season filled with eco-tours, outdoor recreation programs, historic reenactments, and even waterfront concerts and beach bonfires.
For the first time however, the park will be offering a special “locals week” which will take place May 23-27. A different program will be featured each day at half price, allowing locals to experience some of the park’s signature programs before the summer crowds show up on Memorial Day weekend. These programs are an excellent way to get a taste of what the park has to offer and get some ideas on how to entertain those summer guests!
Crabbing 101 will take place on Monday at 10 a.m., Clamming 101 will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m., a Kayak Eco-Tour will be offered on Wednesday at 10 a.m., a Lantern Tour of the Indian River Life-Saving Station will take place on Thursday at 8 p.m., and the week will finish out with a Seining the Bay program on Friday at 10 a.m.
Pre-registration is required for all programs. For more details, or to make a reservation, please call the Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum at (302) 227-6991.
