On Friday, July 12, 2024, the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony with Bay Venture Outfitters to celebrate the grand opening of their new location on the Assawoman Canal, just off Muddy Neck Road in Frankford. Friends, family, community members, and local officials were in attendance.

Originally from North East, MD, Bay Venture Outfitters provides hourly kayak and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals, plus yearly waterfront paddlesport storage, plus single day and seasonal launch passes for anyone with their own kayak, canoe, or SUP.
