Scott Kammerer, President of host SoDel Concepts said, “This event was started to celebrate many of the great things about Southern Delaware. Being a popular resort destination provides a demand for a vibrant restaurant scene, tons of live music, and the desire to kick back and enjoy. People come here for our beautiful beaches, but what they find is so much more than that. Southern Delaware has become a food, music and wine lovers paradise, and we are proud to be a part of SoDel Fest that both showcases and celebrates that.”

Rotary International joined the fight against Polio in 1979 and in 1985 launched PolioPlus, the first and largest internationally coordinated private-sector support of a public health initiative, with an initial pledge of US$120 million.  This was followed in 1988 by the World Health Organization’s resolution to eradicate polio and the formation of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.  Since then more than 120 countries have been declared polio-free.  In 2009 The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation joined Rotary in the fight to eradicate polio and as of June 2015 there have only 27 new cases of polio this year! To learn more, visit www.endpolio.org.
