Hosted annually the first 3 Saturdays in December, Weekend Wonderland in Bethany kicks off December 2^nd from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., throughout downtown Bethany Beach. Local merchants will offer special promotions and activities, and a variety of festivities will take place throughout. Each Saturday at 5:00 p.m., gather around the tree on the bandstand for carols with The Christmas Carolers, the Indian River High School Chorus, and the Southern Delaware School of the Arts Show Choir. Attendees are invited to bring non-perishable food items and new or gently used, warm clothing items for Neighbors in Need.

New in 2018 is the Elf on the Shelf Bingo Scavenger Hunt. All three weekends, shoppers can stop in participating stores in search of the Elf; fill your Bingo card by finding the Elf in all participating locations and enter to win prizes. Winners will be announced each Saturday at the bandstand, before caroling.
