SALTED VINES VINEYARD & WINERY HONORS VETERANS & ANNOUNCES ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

FRANKFORD, DE. (November 9, 2017) – Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery will be honoring active duty military and veterans next Wednesday, November 15, during their Industry Appreciation Day.  From noon to 7 pm, veterans, as well as active members of the military, will receive ½ price wine tastings, $1 off glasses of wine, vino-slushies, and cheese plates. Salted Vines will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.

“This week’s Industry Appreciation Day is a special one.  We wanted to show our gratitude to our local community members who are active military and veterans. It’s just a small token of our thanks for what they do or have done to protect our country and all American citizens,” said Adrian Mobilia, owner of Salted Vines.

Later in the month, the winery will be celebrating its first birthday on Black Friday, November 24 from noon to 8 pm.  This family-friendly event will feature the Salted Vines’ Christmas Market, a coat drive, gift card specials, and later in the evening live music and the annual tree lighting.  The fun will continue throughout the weekend, so if you can’t make it on Friday, stop by on Saturday from 11 am-7 pm or Sunday noon – 6 pm.

Here are few more details:

  • The Christmas Market will offer one-of-a-kind, themed gift baskets featuring items from favorite local restaurants and businesses that have been paired with Salted Vines wines. Baskets will be available for purchase while supplies last.
  • The winery is also hosting a coat drive to benefit Diakonia during the event.  New and gently used coats, gloves, hats, and scarves will be collected for adults and children of all ages. Diakonia is a local organization in Ocean City, MD that has been providing shelter, food, clothing and other resources to individuals and families of Worcester County in need for over 40 years.
  • The tree lighting is scheduled for 6 pm.

“During the last 12 months, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting locals, part-time residents, summer vacationers, and many brides-to-be who have come to check out our new winery. The time has flown by!  We wanted to stop and take the time to celebrate our birthday and tie in the lighting of the vineyard for the holiday.  The Salted Vines’ team is looking forward to saying thank you to everyone who has made our first year such a wonderful experience,” said Mobilia.
