On Friday, March 22, 2024, the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Captain’s Quarters Arcade & Go Karts to celebrate the grand opening of their new electric go karts. To add to the celebration, Sandy Pony Donuts donated donuts for the event and the John M. Clayton Elementary School PTO was onsite doing face painting and hair tinsel, facilitating free go kart rides, and collecting donations to the PTO.  A total of $653 was raised for the JMC PTO during the event, which will help offset field trip expenses and allow students opportunities outside of the classroom.
