Clarksville, DE

Clarksville is a small community that serves as a gateway to the Delaware beaches. It derives much of its wealth from neighboring towns of Millville and Ocean View. While the town may seem small, it has played a huge part in local history. The Union Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church was not only home of the first African American public school in the region, but has served as a religious center for local communities for the last two centuries. Fire consumed the original church and several of the school buildings, but the original one room wood-framed schoolhouse remains standing to this day.

In order to protect both our staff and the public, we are regrettably closing the Visitor Information Center until April 12th, we are planning to re-open to the public at 9:00 AM on Monday April 13th.

Chamber members are encouraged to make appointments to meet with the Chamber Staff.

All State Parks are free until April 30, and annual passes are available to be purchased online here.
